Hope you’re all having good weekends! I had a busy day yesterday so staying indoors today.
Today’s post is about the Huda Beauty liquid matte lipstick. I’ve had these lipsticks since early September, but I have a really bad habit that if I don’t use my new stuff the very next day, I don’t end up using them for months and unfortunately that’s what happened with these lipsticks!
So, who is Huda Beauty?
For those of you on Instagram, you may be shocked to see this question as Huda dominates the Social Media channel when it comes to makeup and beauty posts. However, for those of you that don’t know, Huda Kattan is a makeup artist who has turned into a business woman in recent years. She started off with her own lash line then ventured out to lipsticks and lip contours and has now got her very own eye palette (it’s gorgeous!). Not only does she post her own pictures and videos, she reposts other makeup artists/bloggers content too, which has helped with her gain 16 million followers on Instagram!
What did I buy?
My cousin went Dubai so I took this opportunity to ask her if she can get me some of Huda’s liquid matte lipsticks. If you know anything about Huda Beauty, you will know her products sell out VERY fast, so my cousin only managed to get two shades out of the 8/9 I wanted. I’m not complaining though as I’m happy I even got a couple! The shades I have are Bombshell and Trophy Wife:
Here’s a couple of swatches so you can see how the colours look:
So, what did I think?
I wore the Trophy Wife lipstick on the weekend and wow, it is amazing! Not only does it smell good, it lasted the whole day! I wore the lipstick at 12pm and took it off at 10pm! The colour was still so strong and even after eating, the lipstick stayed on. I couldn’t believe it. And out of all foods I could eat, I ate asian food which as you know, can get quite messy, but the Huda Beauty lipstick stayed on. Are you surprised as me at this point?!
I am super impressed with Huda’s lipsticks and so glad I now have two lipsticks in my collection.
I have to mention the packaging too – how pretty is it?? I just love that the packaging shows the lipstick colour and how the lipstick fits and looks on the packaging. The whole design is so unique and if I didn’t know anything about the lipstick, it would get my attention because of the packaging!
So, should you invest around £20 for Huda Beauty’s liquid matte lipsticks? Definitely! You won’t be disappointed! This lipstick lasts all day and it smells so amazing which is important too. There’s always a concern that matte lipsticks will make your lips look or feel dry, but I’m very happy to say I didn’t get that with the Huda Beauty liquid lipstick.
I would highly recommend these matte lipsticks! I have another review coming up of another matte lipstick (different brand) soon, so stay tuned!
